A Dream Garden on the Shores of the Aegean
Notes on a Bodrum hotel landscape by TCA
Along the Aegean coast, where the earth awakens with the first light of dawn and the sea gently caresses the shore, there lies a place that teaches one how to breathe again. Not a dominion of concrete, but a realm where nature speaks. There, designed by the hand of TCA, a hotel landscape stretches under the Mediterranean sun—like a dream garden.
This is not the usual whiteness spilled across the coast, but a composition that listens to the color of soil, the patience of stone, and the scent of the wind. The hotel garden unfolds like a page from an old Anatolian tale. The purple of lavender, the pink of oleander, the unruly green of wild thyme—none of them clash, but sway together in harmony with the breeze. A butterfly resting in the shade of a flower, an olive branch leaning toward the water… Here, nature is not decor—it plays the leading role.
Water, too, finds its voice in this tale. Quiet pools placed like mirrors of the sky, biotopes that cradle life in their stillness… In some corners, they hold the coolness of morning dew, in others, they reflect the ever-changing sky. In this garden, one feels closer to the earth, and more open to the heavens.
This garden speaks not only to the eyes but also to the soul. Each path feels like the beginning of a story; each stone, a memory of an ancient legend. Nature here is not forgotten, but remembered. And the human being, stripped of modern haste, learns once more to belong to the land.
This design by TCA is not merely the landscaping of a hotel—it is a new sentence written into the memory of the Aegean. In the ancient hills of Bodrum, among the blue, the stone, and the scent, there exists a silent beauty… Just as the Fisherman of Halikarnassus once dreamed: not an exile into blue, but a return to it.

Ege’nin Kıyısında Bir Düş Bahçesi
TCA tasarımı bir Bodrum oteline dair notlar
Ege kıyılarında, sabahın ilk ışıklarıyla birlikte yeryüzü uyanırken, denizin usulca kıyıya dokunduğu bir yerde, insana nefes almayı yeniden öğreten bir mekân kurulmuş. Betonun hükmetmediği, doğanın söz aldığı bir yer. İşte orada, TCA’nın eliyle tasarlanmış bir otel peyzajı, bir düş bahçesi gibi uzanıyor Akdeniz güneşinin altına.
Kıyıya serilmiş bir beyazlık değil bu kez; toprağın rengine, taşın sabrına, rüzgârın kokusuna kulak vermiş bir tasarım… Otelin bahçesi, adeta eski bir Anadolu masalının içinde açan bir sayfa gibi. Lavantanın moru, zakkumun pembesi, kekiklerin arsız yeşili… Her biri birbiriyle kavgalı değil, yan yana kardeşçe salınıyor rüzgârla. Bir çiçeğin gölgesinde dinlenen kelebek, suya eğilmiş bir zeytin dalı… Burada doğa dekor değil, başrolde.
Su da unutulmamış bu hikâyede. Dingin bir su aynası gibi yerleştirilmiş küçük havuzlar, bahçenin tam kalbinde… Kimi yerde bir biotop, kimi yerde biriken çiğ taneleri gibi sabahın serinliğini taşıyan göletler… İnsan, burada toprağa daha yakın, gökyüzüne daha açık hissediyor kendini.
Bu bahçe sadece göze değil, ruha da dokunuyor. Her patika, sanki bir öykünün başlangıcı; her taş, bir efsanenin hatırası gibi. Doğa burada unutulmuş değil, hatırlanmış. Ve insan, modern zamanların telaşından sıyrılıp, yeniden toprağın bir parçası olmayı öğreniyor.
TCA’nın bu tasarımı, sadece bir otelin peyzajı değil; Ege’nin belleğine yazılmış yeni bir cümle. Bodrum’un eski yamaçlarında, mavinin, taşın ve kokuların içinde, bir sessiz güzellik… Halikarnas Balıkçısı’nın hayal ettiği gibi: “Mavi sürgün” değil bu kez; maviye dönüş…
